  • Brake & limit verification

Wire Rope Cables

Visual, dimensional, and proof-load testing for slings and assemblies.

  • Single & multi-leg slings
  • Termination integrity check
  • Diameter & lay measurement

Chain Rigging

Grade 80 and 100 chain assemblies tested and individually serialized.

  • Reach & elongation gauging
  • Master link & hook inspection
  • Heat & wear analysis

Specialty Load Tools

Spreader bars, lifting beams, plate clamps, and custom below-the-hook devices.

  • Engineered lifting fixtures

The Stakes

Skipping a year of testing is a liability you can't insure away.

Failed rigging is the leading cause of dropped-load incidents on industrial sites. Annual load testing isn't paperwork — it's the documented proof that protects your team, your operations, and your career.

  • OSHA citations starting at $16,131 per violation

Willful or repeat violations of 1910.179 can exceed $161,000 per piece of equipment, per inspection.

  • Insurance claims denied without certified records

Carriers routinely deny coverage when the most recent annual proof-load certificate is missing or expired.

  • Worker injuries from undetected fatigue

Wire rope and chain wear is invisible until it isn't. Proof-loading exposes failures before a load goes airborne.

  • Operational shutdowns during inspections

A single missing tag can red-flag an entire bay. We re-tag, re-certify, and keep your operation running.

Who We Serve

Built Around the People Responsible for the Sign-Off.

Whoever signs the inspection log carries the risk. We make sure that signature stands up to scrutiny — across every role on your site.

The inspection binder Pacific Rigging Loft delivered was the cleanest I've handed an OSHA inspector in 18 years. Every sling, hook, and chain — serialized, tested, signed off. Zero findings on rigging.

We tried two other vendors before Pacific Rigging Loft. They're the only ones who showed up with calibrated proof-load equipment and finished a 240-piece inventory in a single shift. Reports were in my inbox the next morning.

Their annual reminder system saved us during an unannounced inspection. Every certification was current, every tag scannable. The inspector commented on how organized the program was.

I'm a third-generation rigger. I've never seen a testing crew work this clean or this fast. They certified 14 below-the-hook devices and three custom spreader bars without slowing my crew down once.

The QR code and NFC chip tagged asset records cut our pre-shift inspection time in half. Operators scan or tap the tag, the cert pulls up, we move freight. Compliance and productivity in the same workflow.

How often does rigging equipment need to be load tested?

OSHA 1910.179 and ASME B30 require annual proof-load testing for most overhead hoists, slings, and below-the-hook devices, with more frequent inspections for severe service. New, modified, or repaired equipment must be tested before being placed into service. We track every interval automatically.

What types of equipment do you test?

Overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes, chain and lever hoists, wire rope slings, chain slings, synthetic slings, hooks, shackles, plate clamps, magnetic lifters, spreader bars, lifting beams, and engineered below-the-hook devices. If it holds a load, we can certify it.

What format are the certification reports delivered in?

Every test produces a PDF certificate with serial number, capacity, test load, inspector signature, and traceable equipment calibration. You also get a digital asset register and QR code or NFC chip tags on each piece of equipment that link directly to its digital certificate of inspection and help us track when recertification is due. Reports are delivered within 48 hours of testing completion.

Are your inspectors certified?

Yes. Every field inspector holds current credentials in line with ASME B30 and ANSI standards, and our procedures conform to OSHA 1910.179 and 1926 Subpart H. All proof-load equipment carries traceable calibration certificates renewed annually.

Will testing disrupt our operation?

Most facilities choose evening, weekend, or shutdown windows. We mobilize portable proof-load equipment that adapts to your bay layout and can typically certify 200+ pieces of rigging in a single shift. We coordinate around your production schedule, not the other way around.

What happens if equipment fails the test?

Failed equipment is immediately tagged "Out of Service" and documented in your report with the failure mode noted. We provide replacement recommendations, can source compliant gear, and re-certify replacements during the same visit when possible.
